Round one of our Inventor Program allows for us to examine the interest and activity in the program, in addition, on how we can improve the program in Round two. The inventor Program was inspired by our Otto Remix Challenge where we had over 80 submissions.
This time around we had less submissions and the program was shorter. But what we discovered was that more time was spent on the products. Instead of designing a new toy shell which was more of the theme with the Remix Challenge, submissions with the Inventor Program actually tackled new technical functions on the engineering side. From faster walking to getting up after Otto falls, these approaches were done through engineering cleverness.
