Otto DIY at Prague Maker Faire

September 14, 2021

During the weekend of the 11th & 12th of September, Otto DIY was present at the Prague, Maker Faire. Maker Faire is a festival full of workshops, interactive activities and above all, enthusiastic and curious people. There were many displays of new inventions and interesting concepts. Makers around the world presented their projects and prototypes for everyone to see.

We displayed a range of Otto’s we currently sell including new design prototypes in the making to get a sense of people’s interest for potential new product lines.

One of these new products was Otto Ninja, where Otto can transform from a walking robot to a wheeled robot, which can be remote controlled from your phone. We plan to showcase this product this year, so get ready!

The whole weekend though was not just meeting, greeting, and showcasing our products. On Saturday, Camilo, founder of OttoDIY, presented about Otto and all the cool things we are doing.

We then had a workshop where we guided participants to build their own Otto, showing how beginners can build to do cool things. Anyone can learn to become an engineer!

Camilo also made a new friend with Boston Dynamics robot, Spot, which came right in front of our booth. The movements were so realistic even a little girl walks up and pats it. That was cool!

But we are not done yet! In the beginning of October we will be attending Maker Fair in Olomouc, Czech Republic. If you are in central Europe make sure to stop by and come see us!
