About OttoDIY

Otto DIY, designed by Camilo Parra Palacio, Tereza Svarcova and Ethan Clime from Czech Republic, is an interactive robot that anyone can build, learn to code and make their own.

Completely open-source, from the hardware to the software, OttoDIY is a small customizable robot that encourages hands-on making without age constraints.

Otto Remix Challenge

In 2019, OttoDIY launched the #OttoRemixChallenge inviting makers and robot lovers around the world t

o customize Otto to jump, roll, dance, turn, move and more. With +80 submissions, the participants and the Otto community shared files and documentation on Wikifactory making the remixed robots available for anyone anywhere in the world.

Otto Inventor Program

This year, OttoDIY launched the Otto Inventor Program for its community and beyond aiming to sell the greatest inventions and pay royalties to the designers. So far the Round One is completed and submissions with the Inventor Program actually tackled new technical functions on the engineering side.

From faster walking to getting up after Otto falls, these approaches were done through engineering cleverness.
